For a parent, when your baby turns one year old, it’s a big deal! It’s the biggest milestone your baby hits and also a big one for you as a new parent – you survived!! It’s one of those things where a celebration is mandatory, regardless of the size, as it gives everyone involved a day to pause and appreciate the past 12 months.
The day Lilah turned 1 was a perfect sunny Sunday afternoon, that she spent surrounded by her family and friends. When she looks back at these photos, I hope she will realize how many hours were spent selecting the perfect cake, balloons and gift bags, or how long it must have taken to make those individual bee cookies or how much everyone enjoyed the music. But there is one more thing I hope Lilah sees in these pictures. That her happiness and being surrounded by loved ones is and will always be the most important thing to her parents, no matter her age.
