Part 1- People of India
The one thing that stands out when you visit India, other than the history, culture and food, are the people of India. I am talking about the people that line the streets, roads and sites of India. Each person has a task or a job to complete. They might be selling fruit, vegetables or souvenirs. They might be working the fields, repairing the roads or weaving rugs. Each person is working hard to provide for their family.
There is no hiding behind the fact that there is a large gap between the rich and the poor in India. But unlike many countries, I have visited, the poor are not hidden away in certain areas/locations. They live and roam the same streets as the rich man and they all live in perfect harmony in those same streets. India has a culture of collective living rather than one of individualistic living, which makes this a unique place to visit.
