Yesterday my friend gave birth to her beautiful baby girl. I am so so excited for her because I feel like I am reliving the birth of my own daughter, so many emotions!!! If only we lived closer to each other but for now the support and love will have to be virtual.
I joined the La Leche League International (LLLI) for guidance and support because virtual support can only take you so far. The LLLI is full of mothers supporting each other through the journey of breastfeeding. They touch on topics like how to increase milk supply, how to navigate all the different opinions on breastfeeding and caring for your newborn and even how to cut baby toe nails. The support, discussions and knowledge that is shared in this group, has really influenced me as a new parent. I learnt to be kinder to myself and to those around me. I stopped worrying about everything and learnt to focus on my sweet baby girl. I dedicate this blog to all mothers, new and old. Do what keeps you sane and do what makes you happy.
For this shoot I tired to capture the sweet intimate moments between mother and her little one. I loved taking these pictures because there is no effort required to capture the love, it is just so evident with each click of the camera.
