When you walk around in New York City you realize there are three types of people you will encounter. The first kind have earphones on and their heads down ensuring that any social interaction is stopped before it can begin. The second kind have forgotten their earphones and have to look up at you with their tight lipped smile leaving you wondering if they were being polite or rude. The last rare kind are the ones that smile wide and warm your heart despite you being the first or second kind 🙂
