I met baby Dean and his parents on a sunny Sunday afternoon. When I arrived he was snuggled up next to his mom, belly full and content with life. He was enjoying the comfort of being close to his mom, her familiar smell, her beating heart and her warm skin. These are some of the small creature comforts that calm a newborn baby in their big and new unfamiliar world.
When I pulled out the camera, Dean was calm and ready for his photo shoot. He showed off his pretty eyes, his tiny toes and lovely golden hair. I, like his parents, could not stop staring.
