I spent the pandemic in my apartment, in New York City, with my children and husband. We were very fortunate to have our health and our home. Whenever the walls felt like they were closing in on me, I would remind myself how lucky we were. We had hard days and some devastating days. We all had to change our lives almost overnight in order to adapt to this new, scary world.
One year on and we are all still dealing with changes. For me some of those changes meant saying goodbye to a lot of friends and clients that moved out of the city, not being able to see my family. Other changes meant that we all became proficient at online meetings and presenting in our pjs. This past year has changed us all. But only through something difficult do we change and grow. So let’s hope all our changes are for the best.
