The Taj Mahal, Agra
The Taj Mahal is synonymous with India as is hot weather. A trip to India demands a stop over at this famous tourist spot. The Taj Mahal is located about 300kms from Delhi, in the city of Agra. There is a lot you can read/learn about this marble wonder. It was commissioned in 1632 and took almost 21years to complete!
All the facts go out the window when you visit the Taj Mahal. You are not only struck by the hundreds of other tourists but by the architecture and sheer size of this monument. It takes your breathe away! The closer you get, the more you appreciate the intricate details in each marble tile that come together to make this huge wonder of the world. The inspiration behind the Taj Mahal was a love story, a mogul (king) falling in love. I tried to capture the love story as best as I could but some things are just better seen in person.
